Laboratory for the Application of Materials to the Environment, Water and Energy
WREIANA is a bi-annual scientific international conference focus on the understanding of the water resources, climate change, green chemistry, georesources, engineering, management, and smart technology. This conference encourages the participation of experts and scholars in the corresponding fields. Youth are the water sector leaders of the future.
WREIANA-2027 will be held in Sousse, Tunisia on March 22 - 24, 2027. The objectives of the fifth international symposium WREIANA-2027 will be to provide a unique multi-stakeholder platform where the water experts, the policy creators, and decision makers from around the world can work together to find joint solutions capable to significantly assist the region in its efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and draw a road map for water security. It will present an opportunity for local, regional and international water communities to examine and to establish new collaborative partnerships in the various water sector issues.

1. Author submitting one or more papers before the deadline of June 30, 2027 should first register on the registration platform (see "Registration").
2. Abstract should be prepared using this Template and should not exceed 300 words. Send the template to our email wreianasymposium@gmail.com
3. On April 10, 2027 , authors of accepted abstracts will be notified per email about the format of their presentation at Wreiana 2027 (oral or poster).
4. With the acceptance letter, authors will also receive an invitation letter to apply for a visa to Tunisia.

1. Authors of accepted papers will receive on January 15, 2027 a letter of acceptance and an invitation letter to apply for a visa.

The registration fees cover: conference material, Hotel accommodation (03 nights at full board), book of program, coffee breaks, lunches during the entire period of the symposium in addition to certificates of participation. Supplement for Single room is not included and has to be paid in extra. These fees are payable by cash in the registration desk or by bank transfer (international participants) or by order form (Tunisian participants).

If you cannot attend the conference but still wish to have your paper presented and considered for publication in the proceedings and/or special issues, we offer a virtual (online) presentation option for your convenience. Virtual presenters are expected to record a voice-over PowerPoint (more details will be sent to interested participants after online registration) and submit the file online (link will be sent after payment of the registration fee) before December 01, 2027. Virtual presenters are still required to submit an abstract and, if they wish, an extended abstract before the deadline (see Important Dates), and at least one author must pay the registration fee. Your conference documents will be sent to your email after the conference.

Conference Proceedings
All authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit an extended version (short conference paper of a max. of 4 pages) for evaluation before publication in the conference book. All accepted short papers after the pre-conference peer-review process will be published as chapters in the conference proceeding by the International Association of Water Resources in the Southern Mediterranean Basin. The proceedings of the 6th WREIANA will be published online on 15 January 2027 by the International Association of Water. All authors will receive a soft copy of the proceedings shortly after online publication.

There are two types of oral communications: a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation of 15 minutes or an e-Poster presentation of 8 minutes (using a large HD screen). The type chosen will depend on the author’s stated preference and the decision of the scientific committee.

The Student Best Speaker and the Student
Best
Poster
Awards
are
sponsored by the Organising Committee and
they

Oral
presentations
will
be
evaluated by the chair of the session and by
selected
scientists.
Poster presentations will be evaluated by
members of the
Scientific
Committee. Winner will be awarded on the
closing
ceremony.
The Organizing Committee will be pleased to send an invitation letter upon request to the participants registered in the WREIANA2027. Such a letter should only be intended as a help to get funds, not as a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support. International participants will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following their departure date from Tunisia. Someone may need a Visa before coming. Email wreianasymposium@gmail.com to get a VISA support letter but please consult your local passport authority or Tunisian diplomatic representatives in your Country about information they need. A visa costs around 30 EUR and is valid for 90 days. Please check the website of the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to see if you need an entry visa to Tunisia.
